The given diagram illustrates changes that are proposed to take place after building work of the ground floor of a house. The existing floor plan comprises of an entrance door that opens into a hall surrounded by internal walls on two sides. There is a staircase on the immediate right. The far end of the hall leads to internal doors that lead to a living room on the right side and a kitchen on the left side. There is also another entrance door leading directly into the kitchen area. Post constuction, the area will boast of several infrastructural changes. The internal wall on the right side will be broken down, hence the entrance door will open into a more spacious living room, and the staircase will be relocated to the opposite end of the entrance. The internal doors will be shifted to the immediate left, which will lead to the kitchen area. The kitchen in itself will be remodelled with new kitchen furniture. The internal wall on the left side will remain to serve as a partition between the kitchen and the stairs. However, the position of the second entrance door leading to the kitchen will remain unchanged.

Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child's development while others think that it is important for children to go to school.

Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In today's time, there are several styles of education. There is often debate on whether home-schooling or sending your child to school is the better means of education. While both methods entail their own list of advantages and disadvantages, many prefer one to the other. By teaching the child at home, the level of academic eduaction as well as syllabus of teaching can be tailored as per the child's individual needs and preferences. By keeping in mind the child's strengths and weaknesses, we can devote more hours to weaker subjects or to areas in need of more attention. In my opinion, this method of education would also help the child explore their interests and excel in hobbies from an early age. Keeping such flexibilty of schedule would help the child achieve academic excellence and all-round development. However, sending children to school has its own set of advantages as well. Group-play and interaction from an early age helps form interpersonal connections, which in turn leads to early social development. Children learn the core values of friendship, teamwork and interaction, which are traits necessary throughout life. They are taught to stay away from their parents, making them more independant from an early age. They are also exposed to people from other walks of life, which can help them see the world in a different light and make them more inclusive as adults. In my opinion, although both methods of education provide varied insights, I think it is important to send children to school. This will help them break out of their cocoon at an early age and acquire social skills that will make them more confident as adults.
