The diagrams illustrate the proportion of a range of treatments regarding dangerous waste in the Republic of Korea, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Overall, these countries tend to use underground, recycling, and incineration as major ways to deal with dangerous waste while the least used ones are chemical treatment and dumping at sea. The most common method to deal with dangerous waste in Sweden and Britain is to bury it underground with a percentage of 55% and 82%, respectively. It is evident that the UK has the highest number of this kind of treatment among the three countries. Recycling seems to be the second choice in Sweden with 25% and Britain with 8%, which is equivalent to the percentage of dumping at sea. Only 2% of waste is dealt with incineration in the UK, while the proportion of it ranks third in Sweden at 20 per cent. As for the Republic of Korea, recycling accounts for a significant number of treatments, with 69 per cent, unlike the other two countries. Then it is followed by burying waste underground with 22%, and meanwhile, 9% of waste is consumed by fire. In conclusion, the Republic of Korea is using a more environmentally friendly way to deal with waste, followed by Sweden. The United Kingdom is the least environmentally friendly in this issue and they might cause huge damage to the earth.

Childhood obesity is on the rise in most western countries as well as some developing countries. Some individuals argue that the government should be to blame for this increase. However, I am afraid I have to disagree with this statement. Undoubtedly, governments have been widely blamed for overweight youngsters over decades. This is because they failed to disseminate correct information to children about what healthy diets should be like and to give warning and proper education to them. To illustrate, governments did not supervise the aggressive marketing of high-calorie foods and sugar-sweetened beverages that gives rise to the intake of unhealthy foods and drinks. Having been exposed to all these advertisements and promotions, children consume more unhealthy food and therefore gain excessive weight. In fact, many adults complained that if it had not been for governments' indifference about the impact of media, it would not be the increasing number of minors obesity. All in all, it is the government's responsibility to look after the younger generation. Despite the necessity of having governments involved in this situation, we cannot deny that parents are also responsible for the epidemic of childhood obesity. It is widely acknowledged that parents accept liability for this as they are the ones who decide and purchase food for young people, and they exert a direct impact on them. That is to say that parents' busy life is likely to decrease good routines, like usual family meals and physical activities with children. Consequently, they cannot develop the youngster's healthy diet and activity behaviours, thereby contributing to overweight. For example, a recent study finds that parents' hectic lifestyle can lead to an adolescent's sedentary lifestyle, such as increasing interest in video and smartphone apps instead of exercise, contributing to weight gain. In conclusion, although parents are held responsible for children's overweight, the government is highly liable for this because it does not address the issues that mainly lead to childhood obesity.
