The general opinion about studying science of food and learn how to make it during school time is divided in two opposite groups: one sustains the idea of it, whilst the other believe that that time should be applied for crucial matters. To my way of thinking, I believe that every subjects is fundamental for the mental-growth and well-being of any scholars. Subjects are not divided in first class, second or third. None of them are more prevalent than others. Therefore every single of them schould be taught at school, especially when future adults are structuring their way of thinking and their opinion in specific matters like food. It goes without saying that if this subject is not taught, the world could lack in dietician, food scientist, cook etc. If kids do not have the basic knowledge of food's science and how to prepare it, they could never develop a passion about it and grow it as their future job. Moreover, in this modern world where obesity is fast spreading, causing many issues in our heath care system, understand what is good and/or bad for our body is critical. Unfortunately, we do not live in an utopic world. Every teachers pipe-dream is having enough time to teach every subject and prepare their students properly. Hence, it is understandable if some people think that schools should prioritize their time and focus on important subjects and yet, who is able to say which subject are important? The world is vary and needs people with different knowledge background. This is the reason why is hard to pick and choose an "important subject". To conclude, Science of food and how to prepare it is a subject that should be taught at school. There are no subjects more fundamental then others. Every matters should received attention.
