The charts show differences in age structure between France and India in 1984 by taking in account the percentages in certain ages in males and females. First of all, the most striking information is that population in France was older than India as people lived even more than 85 years old. Inversely, population in India was younger than in France, because the scale of percentages was reached by 7% in the younger population as opposed to France. To begin with, in France, the larger proportion of the population was people aged between 0 to 35 years old as they always represented roughly 3 to 4%. After that, a decrease can be observed as the proportion decreased between the ages of 40 to 65 to about 1% less. At this point, male population tended to decrease as the ages became older. For instance, at the 75-80 years old class, males were approximately 1% while females were just over 2%. However, in India, as the population became older, proportions of the population tended to decrease. For example, the 10-15 years old were twice as many as the 40-45 years old. However, a markedly decreased occured in the 20-25 years old

Nowadays, parents are keen on pushing their children towards the excellence in terms of education. As a result, they often organise extra classes for them. However, I do not believe that this is a good idea, because children need to do many other activities such as sports, or artistic activities like drawing, in order to elevate their chances to study at university, and to be more creative. Firstly, many parents claim that children need to always improve their academic skills instead of wasting their time by doing physical activities because that will not help them in the future to be able to continue studying in prestigious universities. Nevertheless, I am not of this opinion. For instance, in USA, universities are highly expensive. However, universities allow students who are high level athletes to study free-of-charge because they will help the sport section of the university to get developed. Consequently, it is sometimes crucial for children who do not come from wealthy family to be performant in a sport to study at university in the future. Secondly, there are also many parents who organise extra classes for academic purposes like maths, or sciences. However, they totally reject artistic activities like drawing. In fact they think that drawing does not develop the intelligency of the children, and would rather distract them from academic topics. Nonetheless, I firmly believe that they are not well informed about the many benefits that children could derive from drawing, and I am convinced that this activity is crucial for their own development. Indeed, many scientists have already highlighted the fact that drawing promote creativity in young children. Evidence shows that the brain is intensively stimulated when children are drawing. As a result, they become better at academic topics as they improve their concentration and creativity. To conclude, I personally believe that children have enough education at school. As a result, I am of the opinion that parents would better to have their children doing sports and artistic activities like drawing or others, in order to take care of their development rather than always pushing them in academic topics.
